Client Workstation Requirements
For use with Oracle© 9i and newer: Client software for Oracle9i? or later (Oracle Instant Client is provided if needed).
For use with OpenBaseSQL© 9.1 and newer: Client software is integrated with SilentPartner X and no additional client software is required.
Microsoft Windows© systems: Windows XP© , Windows 2000©, or Windows Vista©- based systems, 1Ghz or better with at least 512MB RAM recommended; 200 MB disk space for
SilentPartnerX.
Apple Macintosh©: Mac OS X© 10.3.x or later (10.4.x preferred). 800 MHz G4 or better with at least 512MB RAM recommended; 150 MB disk space.
**Oracle customers please note** due to the current lack of Universal Binary drivers from Oracle, SilentPartnerX will run in the Rosetta environment on Intel based Macintosh hardware.
Database Server Requirements (Oracle and OpenBase RDBMS systems)
Any reasonably current configuration that Oracle or OpenBase supports is acceptable. Refer to http://www.oracle.com and to http://www.openbase.com for currently supported configurations. Oracle9i (and above) are known to be compatible.
Configurations supported and/or known to work include Microsoft Windows XP Pro, NT, 2003 Server, Mac OS X 10.3.7 and newer, and some distributions of Linux. Other configurations may work, but please check with Oracle and OpenBase technical support first for compatibility and current hardware and operating system requirements.
Server memory and disk requirements vary by the number of concurrent users, however at least 2GB of RAM and at least 10GB of free drive space is recommended.
Web-Based Deployment Requirements
- Application Server: Apache Tomcat 5.5
- Language: Java™ J2SE 5 as required by Tomcat 5.5
- Browsers: Microsoft IE 6.0 or later/Netscape® 7.2 or later/Safari 1.2 or higher
**(Screen Resolution: Works best at 1024 x 768 (or) higher, but runs on any resolution.)
