| The MediGroup, Ltd. receives national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise. |
WBENC certification provided through the Women's Business Enterprise Council PA-DE-sNJ (WBEC). |
Oaks, PA – December 12, 2007 – The MediGroup, Ltd., developers of SilentPartner® Professional Services Automation (PSA) software, announces that, as of November 14, 2007, it has been officially certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women's Business Enterprise Council PA-DE-sNJ (WBEC).
The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) provides the most widely recognized and respected certification in the United States for women business enterprises (WBEs). The WBEC certification is highly valued, due to the stringent screening process under the guidelines of WBENC's Standards & Procedures, and assures that all firms are legitimately owned, managed, and controlled by women.
For The MediGroup, this certification is accepted by over 700 major corporations, non-profit organizations, as well as many local, state, and Federal government agencies. WBENC certification is an important marketing tool for expanding the company's visibility among and access to decision makers in supplier diversity and procurement offices.
"We are proud to be honored with this certificate and look forward to the many opportunities it may afford our company in the future. In fact, many corporations require WBENC-certification before providing access to their supplier diversity programs. Not only will we be in the good company of the other Women-owned business who have been certified before us, certification provides us with a wealth of opportunity to offer our SilentPartner solutions to a wider corporate audience." stated Cindi McCarthy, MediGroup’s president and CEO.
Certification provides The MediGroup with both national reach through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and local touch through the Women's Business Enterprise Council PA-DE-sNJ (WBEC). Certification has also proven to provide preference for the purchasing organization’s products and services. To support this, a WBENC sponsored survey was conducted by SB Services, a consulting firm focused on supplier diversity process improvement. Of the1,227 women consumers between the ages of 35-55 that responded, an overwhelming 79% said knowing a company buys from women businesses would compel them to try a company’s product or services if they were not a current customer.
"On the eve of our 20th anniversary, we couldn’t be more pleased to receive this quality certification. The process was long and rigorous but worthwhile. This certification is a strong reflection on our company’s quality, commitment, and sustainability as an enterprise." said JT Harding, Vice President of Marketing for The MediGroup.
